The Bread & The Bun
A little story by Aviara
A toaster is what that makes a bread toasted and warm right?
Isn't the same for us humans? We the individuals as the toasters, while others are the bread(true friends) or buns(aquintances). It is all the same.
For toasters, breads and buns do comes and go. There is always a limit to how much a toaster can hold no matter how big or small. Sometimes the toasters replaces the warm bread (growing friendship) for other buns that are cold. Thinking that the buns would turn into a more golden shade of brown then the bread. In other words, thinking that the other is worth more.
The bread is then left outside the toaster to wait.
Toasters obviously don't tend to see it for they are too busy warming up their buns which comes in packs. Too much to handle to even look to the side for the bread. They don't really know what's happening with the bread. They think they are alright..
It was wrong.
We all know that when things left to long outside they, do, eventually turn cold. So cold, you don't even recognise them anymore. They seem hard, less glowling, pale beige.. doesn't seem like what it used to be.
Some, because they are still near the toaster, looks warm. But in natural fact, they are really cold inside.
Sometimes we don't see what is more important.. And in order to restore the friendship you have to warm it up all over again. Those parts that cannot be warmed up no matter how much they try are scars that remembered them of what had happened.
It can be covered, but never gone. It can be forgotten, but always there.
Some have so many scars, they run away. Not wanting to experience that again..
Note: People, do, hide scars no matter how big.
You might not know how much scars a person has under your name.
You might not know when the next scar is going to make the person run away.
But you might want to wake up and realise.. you are doing it all wrong.
Everyone has been there before.
Bread, bun or toaster.
